When people hear the word “Ukraine”, they automatically think of war. Their first thought is a war torn country, how its not safe, and how everything is probably destroyed. But when I hear “Ukraine”, I think about home, and how peaceful everything was. How I was able to walk around freely in the fields, swim in the lakes, and making fond memories with my family.

The last time I was there, in summer of 2021, I told my uncle that I had never gone fishing before, which made him horrified. For the next week, he made it his sole purpose to take me fishing and hopefully catch something. I was more interested in the scenery, and was taking pictures of anything and everything I found interesting.
