As the year comes to a close, seniors are getting ready to graduate. Senior activities are done on the last week of school, marking the official end of their high school careers.
This upcoming final week will serve as a bridge, connecting these four years of school coming to an end. As the soon-to-be graduates play games with their fellow graduates, they can reminisce about the good times they had with their peers.
During the last week of school, seniors don’t go to classes, but rather participate in fun activities on the field, involving different sorts of games. Much planning goes behind this week, which the Student Council’s event committee has put their time and effort into.
Senior activities will take place during June 6th to June 10th. It is encouraged that all seniors attend.
North Hollywood High School senior Andrew Soto says, “I’m excited to graduate… and even more excited to end the senior year off with fun games and activities…”
As the seniors move forward, embracing this big change, they leave North Hollywood High School with fond memories, filled with joy, reflection, and celebration.
Before senior activities take place, Commitment Day took place on May 28th. Commitment Day was an opportunity for seniors to represent which school they got into. It consisted of ice cream and churros for students who RSVPed to the event and the making of cute tote bags that students could personalize.
The first day of senior activities will consist of a “Senior Meeting and Movie.” This will be a fun day of watching movies with friends and competing against one another.
For the first day of senior activities to run smoothly, seniors must submit photos of themselves for the senior slideshow. In addition to forming groups to play in the sports tournament!
The second day of senior week will be all about reminiscing and connecting with friends. Yearbooks will be distributed on the second day and seniors will get a chance to sign each other’s yearbooks.
Afterward, it is recommended that seniors register for free tacos, and bring blankets and snacks for the picnic that will take place after the yearbook signing.
The last day of senior week, June 10th will be a “NoHochella Talent Show.” Students are allowed to sign up for a talent show, and all participants will be getting prizes!
Then the seniors will participate in a Game Show Day. They will play games with their classmates and the winners will be rewarded with different prizes.
When the last day of school, June 11th comes around seniors will participate in the dress rehearsal for graduation. This will be the last thing they do before they officially graduate from North Hollywood High School.
