The North Hollywood Boys Volleyball team is currently placed first in the East Valley League with a record of 7-0. They have an overall season record of 13-4 and ranked 9th in the Los Angeles City Section, making them strong competitors.
Seven teams compete in the East Valley League during the 2026 spring season: North Hollywood, Poly, Verdugo Hills, Grant, Monroe, Arleta, and Chavez. Currently, North Hollywood is first in the league, followed by Polytechnic High School and Verdugo Hills High School.
The Huskies won their match against Canoga Park High School with a final score of 3-0 on Thursday, February 26th, 2026. They took the first 3 sets of the match with great momentum, defeating the Hunters and avoiding a fourth set.

On March 4th, 2026, North Hollywood defeated Polytechnic High School with a final score of 3-1. A junior varsity match also took place between the two schools, which North Hollywood also won 2-1. The game was razor-thin, with the Huskies winning the first two sets with scores of 32-30 and 25-21. They almost ended the game in the 3rd set, but Poly managed to take the win by 2 points with a score of 24-26. In the final 4th set the team managed to beat Poly 29-27, ending an intense game.
On March 9th, 2026 North Hollywood won 3-0 against Arleta High School. The Huskies swept the Mustangs and dominated all sets, with scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-16. Competitive volleyball matches are typically best-of-five sets, where the first four sets are played to 25 points. The team must win by a margin of two points.
They went on to win against Monroe High School with a score of 3-2 on March 11th, which went to overtime. The game was close, with the Huskies winning the first two sets 25-7 and 25-12. They lost the third and fourth sets 23-25 and 17-25, leaving the game up to a final set of 15. They beat the Lancers by 3 points with a set score of 15-12.
The team is run by Coach Daniel and Coach Cruz, with a total of 16 players. The team has a home record of 5-3. They have an away record of 3-0, remaining undefeated away from home court.

“The team has greatly improved since the last few seasons,” says Senior Jaymin Kim. “Through discipline and cooperation, we continue to play strategically and improve as a team.” Volleyball is a dynamic and fast-paced team sport, and effective communication is key to winning.
Compared to the 2024-2025 season, this season has been a huge improvement. Last season the team placed 3rd in the East Valley League, with a record of 7-5 and a win PCT of 54.8 percent. Throughout this season the team has maintained a perfect league record score of 7-0 and an overall record of 13-4, placing them above all the other teams.
So far they are unstoppable in the league, and they have a chance at a perfect season, one we haven’t seen in a while.
