Each year, Student Council’s senior bi-part plans and hosts Senior Week as a celebration for the upcoming graduation for the graduating class. This year, each committee of the Student Council is responsible for a day of the week and each day has a unique theme chosen by the responsible committee.
This year, committee members chose themes like Jaws, Toy Story, Barbie, and etc. The whole day will consist of fun games, decorations, and food items that align with the day’s theme.

This event is special and different because it strays away from the normal planning process an event hosted by Student Council usually takes place. Usually, each committee has a specialty that they focus on for a collaborative event with every other committee.
However, this event allows each committee to show their event planning skills within their own members. Each committee, Event, Fundraising, Spirit, and Public Relations have to plan their day in every aspect.
The first day will be brought by Event with the theme Jaws. Event Chair, (so and so) says (what they think should be expected and how well they think this event will be executed). Following Event’s Jaws Senior Week day, Spirit is bringing Barbie, a seemingly contrasting theme.
As they specialize in decorating and bringing Husky spirit, Spirit Chair Sebastian Dumelod wants seniors to “expect the best decorated day to be Spirit’s.”

After the first two days on Thursday and Friday, Monday, a bright new start of the week, will be hosted by Public Relations. PR will bring their very own Star Wars theme to kick off the new week. Public Relations representative Ernesto Perez describes his confidence in having “the most on-theme activities, decorations, and food items of the week.”
Each committee seems very confident in their planning and execution of their selected themes for Senior Week. Many seniors are looking forward to Senior Week after the stressful year filled with applications, commitment, decisions, and AP exams.
After speaking to each committee’s chair or representative, all agree in saying that “Senior Week will meet and exceed expectations and create a fun memorable experience as we reach the final stretch for Class of 2026.”
